Anchoring in coves like this one in Kingston, Ontario provide a peaceful and free place to call home. So far our sailing adventure has been full of free moorings, docks and anchorages. We have kept ourselves busy with lots of urban foraging, the apples are still under-ripe and tart so our diet has consisted of fresh picked raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, gooseberries, lots of dandelion root coffee and a cornucopia of not-good-enough for the supermarket foods ranging from avocado to zucchini.
We are planning to sail to Main Duck Island, in the middle of eastern Lake Ontario and enjoy the Canadian summer and all of the poison ivy, sunburn and small mouth bass it can throw at us.
